Bio-Rad’s pGLO Bacterial Transformation and GFP Kits offer engaging and unforgettable lab activities in which students engineer bacteria to express the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) and glow green under UV light. These kits enable hands-on learning about the central dogma, gene expression and regulation, genetic engineering, protein separation, and the biomanufacturing process.

These lab kits are available in three formats to support your teaching needs:

• pGLO Bacterial Transformation Kit (Classic) — teach the basics of genetic engineering and the roles that external and internal factors play in gene regulation.
• pGLO Bacterial Transformation Kit for General Biology — teach core genetics concepts with a scaffolded learning approach
• pGLO Transformation and Inquiry Kit for AP Biology — students design their own inquiry investigations to examine the roles that external and internal factors play in bacterial transformation and gene regulation

 

Please note that, though some items may be shipped at ambient temperatures to reduce shipping costs, some items are to be stored refrigerated or frozen upon receipt to ensure longevity.
