Let students gain hands-on knowledge of transcription and translation without having to use flimsy paper cutouts! Outstanding protein synthesis model contains 30 durable, 3-D pieces representing the components of a 12-base mRNA sequence as well as two tRNA molecules and two amino acids. The mRNA sequence is first assembled (transcribed) using the DNA nitrogen base sequence of an existing DNA model. The completed mRNA is then combined with the tRNA and amino acid model pieces to demonstrate the process of translation.Kit comes complete with all color-coded parts and connectors and pre-drilled to assist in the assembly of the models.
